This privacy policy applies to the DeliverNorth platform including the DeliverNorth Courier app.
We collect contact information to allow us to effectively communicate with courier company, shipper, recipients, and couriers. This information includes name, address, phone numbers, and email address information. We may use this information to provide delivery status, provide/receive instructions, marketing communication, or for general communication to improve our services.
During a delivery we may also collect GPS coordinate data, images of barcodes, photos of successful deliveries, government issued photo ID, name and relationship of recipients, and electronic signatures. These are collected to verify delivery and provide this information for delivery logs as required by the courier company, shipper, and/or government regulations.
The courier app provided on app stores tracks GPS location actively in the background. This information is utilized to show the location of both the courier and deliveries in the portals.
The courier MUST provide permission for tracking, background tracking, and any other tracking related permissions that are asked for in the mobile apps in order for this function to work in the app.
Data may be collected through the web portals, mobile apps, pen/paper, and verbally as determined by the courier company, shipper, and courier.
Data is stored within Canada in an encrypted state.
Data provided during delivery is shared with the courier company and shipper through a secure web portal. Information necessary for delivery is shared with couriers.
